Dutch online retailers generated nine percent more turnover in the past half year than in the same period last year.
Industry association Thuiswinkel.org reported this to public broadcaster NOS on Sunday.
There were 42 million online orders, but the average order value fell by five percent to 110 euros.
Booking travel online continues to gain in popularity and generated 1.89 billion euros in turnover over the past half year.
Home and garden products are also on the rise. Sales in that category reached 345 million euros, a fifteen percent increase. Sales of major appliances and toys rose by a quarter.
